Eco-friendly germ killer for the cutting board

Certain parts of the kitchen where you often put food down are especially important to keep clean, for example, the cutting board. However, it is not so much fun if it picks up the taste of cleaning agents.

Here you can instead use ordinary salt to clean wooden cutting boards. Salt is naturally bactericidal and environmentally friendly at the same time.

Do this to get your wooden cutting board:

  1. Wash the cutting board thoroughly.
  2. Rub it with salt. Then leave for 20-30 minutes.
  3. Rinse off the salt and wash the dishes once more.
  4. Done – now you have a clean and fresh cutting board again.

You can also clean the cutting board by slicing a lemon and then swiping it over the cutting board to remove odors and food residue.
